Eco Protectors

Articles on conserving natural resources, controlling pollution, awareness campaigns regarding environmental issues have become order of the day. Imparting environmental education through books, talks and street play is not our way of living; we practice and motivate others through our actions. As a gesture of birthday celebration students gift a sapling to the school, no sweet or chocolate is distributed. The saplings are taken care at school, which in turn attract butterflies, insects and birds and thus add to the biodiversity at school. The energy requirement at school is met by installation of solar panel. The Organic wastes such as vegetable peels, garden waste are converted into vermicompost and used for plant growth. Education, at BGS NPS is therefore for life and living. The students are thus sensetised towards global environmental issues and taught how to tackle them.
