Assembly Session - 7

Sambhrami Patil had conducted an assembly session on 03.03.15 for students of class VI to XII. On the second day of the follow-up session she covered the following points:

  • Three Pillars of Project SEARCH                                        Imparting Knowledge: Project SEARCH members first instil the knowledge about how Tetra Paks can be recycled and can actually be converted into something valuable awareness amongst school students, teachers, school communities, and the society. They also discuss on the issues of recycling, sustainable development, and active citizenship at large.                         Building Skills and competitions: Project SEARCH conduct many programmes and competitions like Tetra Pak Ambassadors’ Programme, STEP, Beyond Books and Walls, TRASH festival where they get many ideas to implement the project as well as build skills among them to recycle all types of resources.         Enabling Action: Ideas gathered from all the competitions are put together and implemented.      
  • Waste Collection: Our school Tetra Pak Ambassador Team goes to different places and raise awareness amongst school students, teachers, school communities, and the society at large on the issues of recycling, sustainable development, and active citizenship. They also instil Tetra Pak Collection bins in these areas. All the Tetra Paks have been collected from these bins and sent to proper collection agencies.
