Session with parents

On 10th of January 2015 Sambhrami and Lakshmi had conducted a session on Project SEARCH for parents. Around 75 - 100 parents had come for the session. In this session we covered the following points:   

• What is Project SEARCH?? (Including what is TERI and Tetra Pak)   
• Main Programmes of Project SEARCH (TRASH Festival, Tetra Pak Ambassador’s Programme, Transition Programmes and STEP)
• Three Pillars of Project SEARCH 
• How our school is collecting waste from institutions, communities and students 
• How Tetra Pak is being manufactured 
• Layers of Tetra Pak 
• Principle of 4Rs    

Everyone said that the session gave good information and good reason to recycle.

Many of them found Mr. Robert Swan's video inspiring.

Suggestions/Questions given by parents:

• Some of them asked how parents can become an ambassador. 
• Suggested that awareness on Collection Agencies should be increased. 
• Waste Collection bins must be kept on streets also.

Our whole team was happy on seeing such a good response from parents. We thank our Managing Director Prakashanath Swamiji, our Principal Sir, and our whole school staff for supporting us and organising this session. I also thank all the TERI and Tetra Pak members to select me as Tetra Pak Ambassador. A special thanks to all the parents who took the time from their busy schedule to witness the session and help us spread awareness.
