SCAVENGER HUNT

On the 12th, along with the waste collection week session, we announced about   another session regarding the scavenger hunt. According to this activity, after students collected various types of waste from their neighborhoods, they were to present a report on how they collected the wastes, what its importance is  and how it is recycled once collected. The level coordinators were to select  two students from each grade so that those two students could present their  report in the assembly. The reports were presented class wise, on a particular  type of waste, and on a certain date for each class. 

· 8th std were to present their reports about paper recycling 

· 4th std and 7th std were to present their reports about plastic recycling

· 6th std were to present their reports about plastic bottle recycling

· 9th std were to present their reports about cardboard recycling

· 11th std and 5th were to present their reports about tetra pak recycling

The main objective of this activity was to make sure the students actually  learnt something from their collection process and give them an opportunity  to have their say in waste management. 

It was a successful session. All of the selected students participated in this  activity actively and also urged the others to collect all types of dry recyclables.  Now we are happy to see most of the students taking interest in these kinds of          activities.
